Haul: My new MAC-180 brush

First and foremost I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

I wanna share with all of you the new brush that I more or less gifted myself with. About a week ago I finally found and purchased a MAC 180 brush! It's the same brush Kim Kardashian uses and it's what gives her such a flawless look.

I can't wait to try it out and I'll be sure to give my review on it. In my opinion, I think it'll work out very well because the brush is very high quality. Plus, the overall design seems like something that should work well for me too. When I first laid eyes on it, I knew that it was a brush I wanted to get.

It has been discontinued for a while so finding somebody selling it wasn't easy. I finally found a seller on ebay who was selling this along with rare perfumes too. After hearing numerous stories of girls falling victim of buying fake brushes off ebay, I was skeptical at first. However, I decided to research the seller and was convinced she was selling real items.

In fact, I had my friend Aleksis take a look at pictures of the brush since I'm still learning a lot about makeup, brushes, etc. She's positive that it is indeed an authentic brush which is excellent!! Oh and go follow her blog if you haven't already!

Speaking of brushes, I just got several more come in today. Except they're not expensive name brand brushes, so they're REALLY cheap. Another great thing is other brushes are supposed to be really good quality too. Some say they're more or less clones of the MAC brushes BUT for a faction of the price. Can't wait to do my haul on those!! :-D

Merry Christmas!

Review - St. Ives Apricot Scrub

Figured I'd do a quick review of this before going out of town (again) for work. I've been trying out St. Ives Apricot Scrub - Blackhead and Blemish control for the past 4-5 days.

For a while I have had a couple of friends that has been using this stuff. They act like it is one of the best things on the face of the earth so I finally decided to try it for myself. So far I have to say that it is working out really well for me!! It has these tiny little grains inside the cream that is designed to exfoliate your skin. Plus, it helps scrub out the dirt/oil that's deep in the pores as well.

After I get done rinsing it out, my face feels very clean and I can clearly see that the blackheads are much less noticeable. In my opinion that says a lot especially since forehead/nose area tend to get fairly oily when waking up the next morning. In fact, I'm not for certain but I think this stuff even helps shrink the pores around my nose a bit.

I have used this stuff to wash all of my face except for my eyelid area. For no particular reason, I am still using my old face cleanser for that. I guess the reason might be because I'm afraid one of those grains will accidentally get in my eyes. Or perhaps I was afraid this wouldn't wash my face well before trying it out. It's important that my eye area is clean, especially while putting in contacts.

The only disadvantage I see so far is rinsing out all those little grains can be a bit of a pain. It takes a bit longer and sometimes it'll get in the hairline or eyebrows. For those who have little time to get ready in the morning, I recommended using this scrub RIGHT BEFORE taking a shower. So that way you just stand in front of the shower and let the water rinse it off for you. Trust me it's much faster that way!!

Overall it's a great product and I'll probably buy it again. I rate this an 8 out of 10!

$11,000 fine if you don't comply!!!??!!! :-O

Hello ladies!!

Starting December 1st (4 days ago), the government wants to you place disclaimers everytime you give a product review. Basically saying whether you're affiliated with the product company or not.

This probably only applies to Americans giving product reviews. However, the legal systems has so many elaborate twists, turns, and loopholes that this might possibly effect international gurus as well. For example, the Digital Millenium Copyright Act is an American law, but it victimizes International Youtube video makers just as bad as it does with Americans. Better safe than sorry.....

Watch PrincessPinkcat's video embedded down below. She goes much more in detail about it all. But I'll conclude this post by saying I agree 100% when she says that there will be people reporting others for the wrong reasons...

On a sidenote that's completely off subject. I have plans to purchase some makeup products during Christmas time and finally do my own hauls / reviews soon afterwards. So please be patient ladies, I'd love to start blogging about certain things very shortly!!

Disclaimer:

I am not affiliated with any of these companies mentioned. All of the products were purchased by me unless stated otherwise in an individual blog. My opinions are not influenced in anyway.
